Litti Chokha

Out on Karve Road Saijpur Bogha, near Naroda Road 3, you’ll find our little place called Litti Chokha. We mostly focus on making that one dish well. It’s the kind of food we know best, and we don't see any reason to complicate things with a huge menu. The kitchen gets pretty hot because of the roasting, especially in the summer months. We spend a lot of time by the fire, making sure everything is cooked just right. It’s a simple setup with a few tables and chairs for whoever wants to sit down. Most people just grab their food and head home or back to work. The street outside is usually busy with cars and people going about their business. We get a lot of workers coming by during their lunch break. They want something filling and quick, and that’s what we give them. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just the essentials for cooking and serving. Sometimes we run out of ingredients early if it’s a particularly busy Tuesday. We try to estimate how much we need, but you never really know how many people will walk in. It’s just us here, working the grill and chatting with whoever walks through the door. It’s a bit of a dusty spot sometimes, being so close to the road, but we keep the counters clean. It’s honest work, and we like seeing people enjoy a hot meal.
