Lilys Garden

Lilys Garden is situated on the Pune Satara Road in Dhanakawadi. It is a very busy road with lots of cars and buses going by all day long. You can hear the horns from inside the gate. We have some trees and plants around to make it feel a bit quieter for the people who come in. It is a place where people come to sit down for a while. We have been here for a few years now. The garden needs a lot of watering, especially in April and May. One of our guys spends half his day with a hose making sure everything stays green. We have a simple menu. Nothing too complicated to cook or serve. We get a lot of students from the colleges nearby. They usually share a few plates and hang out for an hour. We don't mind as long as there are enough tables for everyone. Sometimes the gate squeaks when people walk in. I keep meaning to oil it but I always forget. The kitchen is at the back. It is small but we keep it organized. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. I usually sit at one of the back tables to do the accounts when it is quiet in the afternoon. It is a simple life running a garden restaurant on such a noisy road like Dhanakawadi.
