Ammys Art & Craft

Our little shop is tucked away in Kothrud, right behind MIT College. It is actually at number 1102, which isn't too hard to find if you are familiar with the college area. Being so close to the campus means there are always students walking by, which keeps the energy up. We spend most of our days surrounded by paint, glue, and all sorts of craft materials. It’s a bit of a mess in here to be honest. There are half-finished projects on almost every shelf and the floor usually has some glitter or paper scraps on it. We don't really mind the clutter though. It's just how we work. People stop by to look at what we've made or to pick up supplies for their own hobbies. We aren't a big retail chain, just a small place where we enjoy making things by hand. Sometimes we run out of space when a big order comes in, so we have to stack boxes in the hallway. It’s not a polished showroom. It feels more like a workshop where things actually happen. The light in the afternoon is quite good for painting, so that’s usually when we get the most done. We don't have a marketing team or anything. We just put our things out and people seem to like them. It’s a simple life, just making art and talking to the people who walk through the door and ask about what we are working on.
