Life Insurance Agent

My office is on the first floor right on Bund Garden Road. It is a good spot because the Taj Hotel is just nearby, so everyone knows the landmark. I spend most of my days looking at forms and talking to people about their plans for the future. It is mostly paperwork, really. There are a lot of files on my desk that need sorting through. I have been doing this for a while now, sitting in this same room. People come in, sit across from me, and we go over numbers. It is not a big corporate setup, just a small place where I can keep things organized. Sometimes I am out meeting people at their homes or offices because they cannot always make it here. The traffic outside on Bund Garden Road can be quite loud during the evening rush, but inside it stays fairly calm. I have a small kettle for tea for when visitors stop by. It is steady work and I like the routine of it. There is always another form to fill out or a phone call to return. I try to stay on top of things, though sometimes the pile of mail gets a bit high. It is a simple life insurance business, nothing too flashy. Just me and my files, helping people figure out what they need for their families. It is what I know how to do best after all these years here.
