We’ve been at this spot in Nali Gosavi Wasti for quite some time now. It’s a busy area at S.No.210 and the yard usually has quite a bit of steel moving in and out every morning. Most of us here started out just helping around and now we handle the day-to-day work of Lele Steel Pvt. Ltd. without making too much of a fuss. The place gets dusty and the metal is heavy so it’s not exactly a clean office job but that’s how we like it. We usually start early before the sun gets too hot because working with steel in the afternoon heat isn't great. People stop by looking for different pieces and we just try to find what fits their needs from the piles we have. It’s mostly just us doing our thing and keeping the trucks moving. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit messy but we know where everything is. You won't find any fancy signs or big reception desks here. It is just a workspace where the noise of metal hitting metal is the background sound all day long. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years but our gates stay open for anyone who needs something specific. It’s hard work and it’s loud but it’s what we know how to do. We don't spend much time on the computer unless we have to.
