Laxmi Tyres

Our shop, Laxmi Tyres, is situated right on the Mumbai Pune Road in the Kasarwadi area. If you’re driving along that main stretch of road, you’ll see us right across from J N Marshall. It’s a pretty loud spot because of all the heavy traffic moving past, but that’s actually good for a tyre shop like ours. We spend most of our time out front or in the back storage area where we keep all the stock. There are stacks of tyres everywhere you look, which is exactly how a shop should be. It smells like fresh rubber most of the day, but we don't even notice it anymore. We started here because the road is so busy and constant. People are always needing a spare tyre or just a quick pressure check before they head out on the long highway. We don't have a polished showroom with lights and displays. It’s much more of a workshop feel here. We have our tools and a couple of old stools for people to sit on while they wait for their wheels to be fixed. The guys working here usually have dirty hands by the time lunch rolls around, but that just means there is work to do. We don't do fancy speeches or sales pitches. We just look at the tyres and fix whatever is wrong with them. Sometimes it’s raining and we have to pull all the equipment inside, which makes things a bit tight, but we always manage to get it done.
