Laxmi Steel & Timbers

You can find Laxmi Steel & Timbers at Plot No. 22 in the Taluka Maval Industrial Estate. We deal in both steel products and different kinds of wood. The yard is usually full of timber stacks and long steel bars. It has a specific smell of cut wood mixed with the smell of metal. People from all over the Taluka come here when they are working on a construction project or fixing up a barn. We have some heavy machinery for cutting the timber to the right size. It is not a very organized-looking place, but we know where everything is kept. The industrial estate is a busy place with lots of other shops, but we have our own corner. We spend our days measuring out materials and loading them onto trucks or small tempos. The sun hits the yard pretty hard in the middle of the day. We have a small shack where we sit to have tea and write down the sales. It is a lot of physical work moving the logs and the steel beams around. We don't do much in the way of advertising because word of mouth in Maval is usually enough to keep us busy. Sometimes we get a big order that keeps us working late into the night. It is just a regular local business providing basic building materials to whoever needs them. We just take things as they come and handle the daily orders.
