Laxmi Provision Stores

Laxmi Provision Stores is based in the Mayur Colony area of Wagholi. We are a typical neighborhood grocery shop. Our days start very early, usually around six in the morning, to get the milk and bread ready for the early shoppers. The shop is filled with sacks of grains, lentils, and rows of canned goods and snacks. Wagholi used to be much quieter, but now there are so many new apartments in Mayur Colony that we are always busy. The space is a bit cramped because we try to stock everything people might ask for, from dish soap to local spices. There is a constant sound of the weighing scale beeping and people chatting about their day while we bag their items. We know most of our customers by name since they live just a few streets away. The floor is made of old stone and it has seen a lot of wear from the years of use. We do not have fancy displays; everything is just stacked where it fits on the wooden shelves. Sometimes the kids from the colony come in for sweets after school, and that is usually the loudest part of the day for us. It is a simple life, running the store and making sure the shelves do not stay empty for too long. We stay open until the last of the dinner shoppers have gone home for the night.
