Laxmi Provision Store

Our shop, Laxmi Provision Store, is located at Rasta Peth 323. It’s a place where we keep all the daily essentials folks might need for their kitchens. From rice and dals to little things like matches or soap, we try to stock a bit of everything. The morning starts early here because people need their supplies before they head off to work or start cooking for the family. It can get pretty cramped behind the counter when the morning rush hits. We know most of the people who come in by their first names since they’ve been shopping here for years. The shelves are packed tight, and sometimes you have to reach way up or crouch down to find exactly what you’re looking for. It’s not one of those big modern supermarkets where everything is spaced out. It’s a traditional provision store. We spend a lot of time checking the bags and making sure the grains are clean. Rasta Peth is always moving, and we are right in the middle of that energy. Sometimes we just sit on the stool out front when it’s quiet and watch the world go by. It’s hard work staying open all day, but it’s what we do. We don’t really do advertisements or anything. People just know we are here at number 323 if they run out of salt or need some tea leaves. It’s just a simple life running the store.
