Laxmi Mobile

Laxmi Mobile is over here in Narayan Peth, right by Madhupura Chowk. If you know the 243/3 spot, that’s exactly where we are sitting every day. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic coming through the chowk, but that is just how it is in this part of town. The shop isn't fancy or anything like that. We have some glass counters with different mobile phones inside and a bunch of cables and cases hanging on the walls. Most of the day is spent just sitting behind the counter or checking out why someone’s screen isn't working right. Sometimes it is busy and sometimes it is just me and the fan running. There are some old boxes stacked in the corner that I need to move, but they have been there for a while now. People come in mostly for small things like a new charger or to ask about a recharge plan. It's a small space, so if three people come in at once, it feels full. The light from the street comes in through the front, and you can hear the bikes revving all afternoon. It’s a simple setup for a mobile shop. Nothing more to it. We open up in the morning when the other shops around the chowk start their day and stay until the lights go on outside. It is just a regular place where we do our work. Some days the internet is slow and we just wait. I usually have my tea around four o'clock while watching the people pass by the window. It's just a normal shop on a normal street.
