Laxmi General Store

Laxmi General Store is located right on the Ring Road in the Aundh Waghodia Dabhoi area. It’s a straightforward kind of place where we keep the essentials that people in the neighborhood need. We open up early because that’s when the first batch of people come through on their way to work. The shelves are filled with all sorts of things, from snacks to household items, and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze when we get a big delivery in. We don't have a computer system for everything, so a lot of stuff is still tracked in a notebook or just by memory. It’s easier that way for us. The Ring Road stays noisy with trucks and cars passing by at all hours, but inside the store, it’s usually just the sound of the fan and the occasional conversation with a customer. We know most of the people who live nearby by their first names. They come in for milk or bread and stay for a quick chat about the weather or the traffic outside. The floor gets a bit dusty from the road, so sweeping is a constant job. We don’t have fancy displays or bright lights, just the basic stuff that works. It’s a small operation, mostly just family or a couple of helpers keeping things moving throughout the day. We are just here doing our thing and helping the locals get their shopping done.
