Laxmi Furniture. You can find us at 1429 Shukrawar Peth, right on the Gomtipur Road. We are pretty close to the Janta Sahakari Bank, so that is a good landmark if you are trying to find our shop for the first time. It gets quite dusty around here with all the wood and the traffic passing by outside. We spend most of our time moving things around, trying to make space for new pieces that come in from the workshop. It isn't a massive showroom, but we fit a lot in. The floor is usually covered in sawdust or bits of packing material. We've been in Shukrawar Peth for a long time now, so we know most of the neighbors and the people who walk past every morning. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we have a big delivery arriving and we have to block a bit of the pavement. The work is physical and tiring, but we’re used to it. People come in looking for chairs or tables, and we just show them what we have on the floor that day. It's a straightforward business. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. Just the furniture and us working there. The bank nearby brings in a lot of foot traffic, which is nice for us. It’s just a regular local furniture shop where we do our best to stay busy and keep the inventory moving out to customers in the area.
