Lajjat E Punjabb

Lajjat E Punjabb is located over on Aundh Road 1 in Khondhwa, right at number 54. It’s a place where we focus mostly on Punjabi style cooking. The kitchen gets pretty hot because the tandoor is running for most of the afternoon and evening. We have a small team here, and we all know our roles pretty well by now. The neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed in this spot. People usually come in looking for something heavy and filling, so we make sure the portions are decent. We don’t have a lot of soft lighting or fancy rugs; it’s mostly just plain walls and sturdy furniture that can handle a lot of use. On the weekends, things can get a bit hectic with families coming in, so the noise level goes up quite a bit. We try to keep the floors swept and the water jugs filled up at all times. It isn't a place where you'd go for a quiet, romantic evening, but it works for a solid dinner. We buy our spices and vegetables from the local markets nearby to keep things moving. Most of our day is spent either cooking or cleaning up after the lunch rush. It is a simple life running a food business on Aundh Road, but we are used to the rhythm of it now.
