L G Shoppe

If you find yourself in Bangalore near Sainathnagar, you might see our place. It’s L G Shoppe, located over in Kala Nagar on the 13th Main. We are right by the work shop area. It’s a busy spot with lots of trucks and bikes moving around all day long. Inside, we’ve got the usual stuff you’d expect—fridges, washing machines, and some TVs lining the walls. It’s a bit cramped because the machines take up so much floor space. Moving a double-door fridge is always a bit of a workout, let me tell you. The floors get scuffed up from moving the heavy boxes around, but that’s just part of the job. I usually spend my time talking to people about which model fits in their kitchen or why their old machine stopped spinning. It gets hot in the afternoons, even with the fans going full blast. Bangalore weather used to be cooler, but now it’s just humid most of the time. We try to keep the shop clean but with the construction nearby, there’s always a layer of grit on the glass. We aren't trying to be the biggest store in the city. We just stay here at our spot on 13th Main and help whoever walks through the door. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from morning till the shutters go down. We usually grab a quick snack from the cart across the street before heading home.
