The intersection of Bhosari and Karve Road is where you’ll find us, at 113/6. This is a place where things actually get pressed and shaped. It’s loud, it’s a bit greasy, and there is always the sound of metal hitting metal. That’s just the nature of auto pressing. We aren't tucked away in some quiet office park. We are right in the middle of the action. The floor is concrete and has the marks of years of heavy work. We’ve got the pressing machines lined up, and the guys know exactly how to handle them. It’s a physical job. You don't come here if you're afraid of getting your hands a little dirty. We don't have much in the way of a lobby; you mostly just walk into the workspace. The light comes in through the big doors, and when it rains, the sound on the roof is so loud you can’t hear yourself think. But we like the rhythm of it. Every day is about meeting the schedule and making sure the parts are right. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just press metal. It’s straightforward work that requires a lot of attention. There’s a tea stall just down the road where we all go when the machines are cooled down. It’s a tough environment but a good one for people who like to see a finished product at the end of the day. It is just real work.
