Krishna Hospital

You can find Krishna Hospital tucked away in the Anjanwel Prashant Society over on Paud Road. It’s right across from Saraswat Bank, which makes it easier for people to explain the location to their relatives. The Jai Bhavani Bus Stop is also right there, so there is always a lot of foot traffic nearby. We have been working out of this space for a while now. The building is older but it serves its purpose for what we do every day. Usually, the mornings are the loudest part of the day because of the buses stopping and starting right outside. Inside, we just focus on the patients and the mountains of paperwork that never seem to end. The staff is mostly local people who know the area well. We don't really have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a place where people come when they aren't feeling well. We try to keep the hallways clear and the rooms ready. Sometimes the elevator acts up a bit, so we take the stairs instead. It keeps us moving. Lunch breaks are usually quick because there is always something needing attention. We see a lot of familiar faces from the society next door. It’s just a normal part of the community here. We stay open late most nights making sure the last few people are seen and the shifts are covered properly. It’s steady work but someone has to do it for the neighborhood.
