Krishna General Store

Krishna General Store is a small place in Bhoksangi village, which is in the Shirur taluka. We are right near the Khandoba Temple, so we get a lot of local folks coming in to buy things after they visit the temple for prayers. We are also quite close to the Nagarpura Highway, which brings in some people who are just passing through the area. It’s a typical village store where we try to keep a bit of everything on the shelves. We have groceries, basic household stuff, snacks, and whatever else the people around here might need for their homes. It’s not like a big supermarket you'd see in the city. It’s just a small shop with wooden shelves and a simple counter. I’m usually the one behind the counter most of the day. It gets especially busy in the mornings and then again in the evenings when people are done with their work in the fields. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. We don't have a website or any social media pages. We just open up the shutters early in the morning and close them late at night. Sometimes we run out of certain items and have to wait a few days for the supply truck to come from the city. It’s a simple way of living and working. We just try to provide what the neighbors need at a fair price. It has been this way for a long time.
