Krishna Foods

Krishna Foods is situated at Gat No 429 on the Pune Nagar Road, right in the Ram Nagar area of Lonikand. We are directly opposite the Bharat Petroleum pump, which is a big landmark for the truck drivers passing through. The location is always noisy because of the heavy traffic on the highway, and there is a constant smell of diesel and dust in the air. Inside, we are mostly focused on the food items we prepare and pack. The machines have a steady rhythm that you get used to after a few hours of work. We have a lot of bags and crates stacked up against the walls, waiting to be loaded onto the delivery vans. It gets very hot in the kitchen area, so we keep the big side doors open to let some air circulate, even if it brings in some of the road noise. Most of our days are spent checking the batches and making sure the packaging is sealed right. We don't have a fancy storefront for people to browse; it is more of a production spot where we get the work done. The staff wears aprons that usually have a few stains by the afternoon, and we all take our tea breaks sitting on the plastic crates outside. It is a practical operation where we focus on getting the food out on time for the local shops.
