Komal Steel Centre

Komal Steel Centre is situated at 1214 B Raviwar Peth. It’s right near the Bhohari Majjid and just across from the Kazi Patang Depot. If you know Raviwar Peth, you know how packed the lanes get. Our shop is full of steel items, from small spoons to big containers and everything in between. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the stacks of metal. The clanging sound of steel hitting steel is something you just get used to after a while. We spend a lot of time wiping down the surfaces because the dust from the street settles on everything. Opposite us, the kite depot always has people hanging around, especially during the festivals. It makes for a lively atmosphere. We don't have a lot of space to sit down, so we are mostly on our feet. People come in looking for household things or stuff for their shops. We just help them find the right size and weight. It's an old-school way of doing things. No fancy computers for every little thing, just a ledger and some common sense. Sometimes it’s hard to find a place to park even a scooter nearby. The Majjid is a good landmark for people who haven't visited us before. It’s a busy, noisy, and honest kind of place to work every day.
