Kohakade Hospital

Being located right on the Nagar Highway in Chandanagar means we see a lot of different things every day. The highway is always loud and busy with trucks and cars, so the hospital feels like a very different world once you step inside. We get people coming in for all sorts of reasons, from minor accidents on the road to regular checkups for families living in Chandanagar. The building is easy to spot from the main road, which helps people who are coming from further away. It’s a busy place and the staff is usually running from one room to another. We have different floors for different needs, and the reception area is almost always crowded. It’s not a quiet job. There is always a nurse calling out a name or a trolley being pushed down the hallway. We try to keep things functional and clean. It’s a local hospital, so we see the same faces quite often. The canteen downstairs is where most of us grab a quick bite when there’s a break in the schedule. Sometimes the wait times are longer than we’d like, but that’s the nature of a hospital near a major road. We don’t have any fancy marketing people; we just have doctors and nurses who show up to do their shifts. It’s honest work in a very loud part of town. The routine is the same every day and we just keep at it.
