Kirti Steel Center

Our shop is situated in Raviwar Peth, specifically in the Indira Nagar area near Kalina, at 1218. It is a very busy neighborhood, and there is never a dull moment on the street outside. We deal mostly in steel products, which means the place is full of shiny surfaces and heavy stacks of goods. Raviwar Peth is known for its markets, so we fit right in with the other shops lining the narrow lanes. It is a lot of lifting and carrying every single day. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations, just some old calendars on the wall and a few fans to keep the air moving. The floor is concrete and usually has some scuff marks from shifting crates around. People come in looking for specific items for their homes or shops, and we spend time digging through the stacks to find the right piece. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the traffic, and we have to wait around drinking tea until they can reach the door. It is just the way things go around here. We know most of the other shopkeepers nearby, and we often help each other out when someone needs a hand moving something particularly heavy. It is a straightforward life, surrounded by metal and the constant hum of the city. We open early and stay until the shutters go down in the evening. There is always more steel to move tomorrow, so we don't worry about it.
