Kings Mobile & Repairing Center

If you go to Budhwar Peth and look for B 9, that’s where Kings Mobile & Repairing Center is. It’s a busy part of town, always people moving around and horns honking outside. The shop itself is packed with all sorts of things, mostly old phones, spare parts, and tools scattered across the work table. I spend most of my day hunched over a magnifying glass trying to fix a motherboard or swapping out a battery that’s gone bad. It’s detailed work, and it can get tiring on the eyes after a few hours. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and there are stacks of boxes in the corner that I haven't gone through in months. But people know where to find me. They bring in their phones after they’ve dropped them or when the buttons stop working. I don't promise miracles, I just see what can be done with the parts I have. It gets quite hot in the afternoon because the sun hits the front of the shop directly. I usually have a small radio playing in the background just to have some noise other than the traffic. It’s a local spot, nothing more. We see the same faces every week. It’s not a corporate office with suits; it’s just a repair bench where I do what I know how to do. Sometimes I’m here late finishing up a job. It’s just the way it goes.
