Karstru Agro Organic (Opc) Privatelimited is run from a flat in Shiv Vihar, which is in the Kalepadal area. Specifically, it is Flat No - B / 204 at S No 36 / 15. Since it is an OPC, it is mostly a one-person show, though I get help from friends when I need it. Running an organic agro business from an apartment has its own set of problems. There isn’t a lot of space for storage, so I have to be very careful with the inventory. I spend a lot of time on the phone with farmers and trying to find people in Pune who want organic produce. It’s a lot of legwork. I don't have a big team or a fancy logo on a building. It is just me in the office room, surrounded by files and samples. Some days are really slow and I wonder if it’s all worth it, and other days I can’t keep up with the messages. The Kalepadal area is growing fast, so there are always new people moving in who might be interested in what I’m doing. I try to keep things honest and simple. I’m not trying to compete with the big supermarkets. I just want to provide decent, organic food to people who care. It’s hard to do everything alone, from the accounting to the deliveries, but I’m learning as I go.
