Kareems

Kareems is located on S.V. Road, in H K K Lane, at A-1/2. If you know S.V. Road, you know it’s always crowded and there’s a lot of honking. Finding the lane can be a bit tricky if you’re not looking for it, but once you’re here, it’s a bit different. Our shop is small and we’ve tried to make use of every inch of space. The kitchen is where most of the action happens. We start early with the prep work because the cooking takes time. There’s always a smell of spices in the air that you just get used to after a while. We don't have much room for a big office, so most of the paperwork happens on a small corner of the counter. It’s a hands-on kind of place. We see a lot of regular customers who live in the apartments nearby. They usually know exactly what they want before they even walk in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to get around to it. We focus on the daily tasks of serving people and keeping the kitchen running. It’s loud, it’s busy, and it can get pretty hot inside, but that’s just how it is. We aren't trying to be a five-star hotel. We’re just a local spot on a busy road doing what we know how to do every day.
