Karande Rahul Bharat

My name is Rahul Bharat Karande and I run my operations from Tilak Road. This street is one of the busiest parts of town, so there is never a quiet moment when I am at the shop. I started this because I wanted to be my own boss and work in my own neighborhood. It is a small space, really just enough for me and a couple of chairs for people who come to visit. I do not have any fancy signs or neon lights to attract attention. People usually find me by word of mouth or by just walking past and seeing me sitting at my desk. I have been on Tilak Road for a long time, and I have seen many businesses come and go over the years. I try to keep things very simple. I arrive around nine in the morning, sweep the front step, and get started on whatever tasks are waiting for me. The afternoon sun hits the front window pretty hard, so I usually have to pull the shade down for a few hours to stay cool. I am not trying to build some giant company. I just want to do a good job for the people who stop by. Sometimes my friends come over and we sit and drink chai while watching the traffic move slowly outside. It is a good life for me. I have lived in this city my whole life, so I am pretty settled here. The floor is a bit uneven, but you don't notice it anymore.
