Karan Caterers

Karan Caterers is located in Shri Ram Nagar, over in the Bibvewadi area. This part of the city has a very local, residential feel to it. Our setup is tucked away in the neighborhood, so it’s not like we are on a main highway with a big sign. Most of the people around here are families who have lived in Bibvewadi for years. We started small, just using whatever space we had available in Shri Ram Nagar, and we’ve stayed here ever since. The morning routine is always the same, checking the milk delivery and making sure the gas cylinders are full. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags of rice and moving large containers around the kitchen area. The walls of our workspace have seen a lot of soot and steam over the years. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably find someone cleaning grains or sitting on a stool checking a list. It gets quite loud when the mixers are running, but the neighbors don’t seem to mind much. We like being in this part of town because the markets are close by, and we can get what we need without traveling across the city. It’s a simple life, mostly spent around the stove or on the phone coordinating things. We just focus on getting the food right and keeping the kitchen moving.
