The environment here is more industrial and open compared to the crowded streets of central Pune. We deal with special steels every day, and being out here gives us the room we need to manage things properly. The commute can be a bit of a haul depending on where you’re coming from, but once you’re here, it’s all about the work. We don't have a big corporate office with glass walls; it’s more about the practical side of handling steel and making sure the orders are correct. Most of the people working here have been around for a long time, so they know the drill. We start early, usually when the air is still a bit cool, and get through the logs and shipments. There’s a lot of coordination involved with the different sites. It’s not the kind of place where people wear suits. We’re usually in our regular clothes, dealing with the dust and the heat that comes with this kind of industry. It’s honest work, and we just keep our heads down and do it.
