Kakade Laser

We are located at S.No.-30/2, not far from the Pari Company dairy on Sinhgad Road. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets with the traffic heading towards the city. We have these big laser machines that do all the heavy lifting. You can see the glow from the beams through the protective glass while they are cutting through sheets of steel or aluminum. It’s actually quite something to watch, even after you’ve seen it a thousand times. The shop is filled with the smell of scorched metal and the hum of the cooling fans. We spend a lot of time loading heavy sheets onto the beds and then sorting through the cut pieces once the machine is done. We get all kinds of people coming in, from students with small projects to big contractors who need hundreds of identical parts. We try to keep the scrap pile organized, but it usually ends up overflowing by the end of the week. There’s always someone coming in to ask for a quick job while they wait, and we try to fit them in if we can. It’s a busy little place, and between the noise of the machines and the traffic outside, you have to talk pretty loud to be heard. We just focus on the cutting and making sure the orders are ready to go.
