Our shop is located at Plot No 211/212 in Phase 2, not far from the Electronics Zone. It’s a busy industrial patch. There’s always the sound of grinding or metal hitting metal coming from somewhere nearby. At Jyoti Metal India, we focus on the stuff that people actually use for building and manufacturing. Our space is filled with sheets and bars of different sizes. It’s not the cleanest place you’ll ever visit because working with metal is just messy by nature. We have a small office partitioned off with some glass, but most of the time we are out on the floor. I started this with a friend of mine, and we’ve slowly added a few more machines over the years. We take our measurements seriously because even a small mistake means wasted material. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us wearing earplugs and safety glasses, shouting over the noise of the saws. We handle a lot of local orders for various workshops in the city. When the power goes out, which it does sometimes, we just take a break and sit near the entrance. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do a decent job so people come back to us next time they need metal. It's a lot of physical work, but we like seeing the finished stacks ready to go.
