Our place is over at Ruikar Colony in the Hind Co-op Society. If you are looking for us, we're at Plot 184. Dealing with sugar is what we do every day. It's a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of bags coming off the trucks. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks and a lot of ledgers. We don't do anything too complicated here. Mostly it's about making sure the supply is there when folks need it. Sugar is one of those things people always need, so we stay busy enough. The trucks come in early and we spend a lot of time checking the weights. We've got a small team that handles the loading and the paperwork. It can get sticky sometimes, especially when the weather is hot, but that's the nature of the trade. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the inventory is right. The neighbors in the colony know us as the sugar people. We've been at this spot for a bit now. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it is quiet while we do inventory. Sitting around the table with some tea and talking about the next delivery is how we usually handle things. It's a straightforward way to earn a living and it works for us. We keep the gate open during the day and there is always someone around to help with the loading.
