Working at the YWCA Camp is a bit different than being in a regular office building. It’s got its own atmosphere. We are located right there in the YWCA Camp area. It’s a place people know, so we don't have to give directions too often. The surroundings are somewhat peaceful compared to the main city roads. We’ve got a small team here, and we mostly just focus on getting through the daily list of things to do. There’s always someone coming in with a question or needing help with something. We don’t use a lot of fancy equipment or have a big lobby. It’s just rooms and hallways and people doing their jobs. The weather affects the mood here quite a bit; when it rains, it’s a bit of a trek across the camp area. But we make it work. Most of us have been here long enough that we don’t even think about the location much anymore. It’s just where we go every morning. We drink a lot of tea and keep the records straight. It’s a straightforward kind of life. No one is trying to impress anyone here. We just want to make sure things are handled right for whoever walks through the door. It’s a busy enough spot, but we manage. We’ve seen the seasons change many times from these windows. It's just a regular part of the neighborhood now. People come by for various reasons, and we just do what's expected.
