Jehangir Hospital

Jehangir Hospital is right here at 32 Sassoon Road. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite a while now. The street outside is always full of cars and people, but once you step inside, it’s a different kind of busy. We have nurses running around, doctors moving between wards, and families waiting for news. It’s a lot to keep track of, honestly. We don’t have much time for fancy talk or anything like that. We just focus on the tasks at hand, whether it is checking a patient's pulse or cleaning up a room for someone new. The building is solid and has stood the test of time, though we have to do maintenance here and there to keep things running. It’s a big responsibility, looking after people when they are sick. Most of us who work here live nearby or take the bus in every morning. We know the regulars who come in for their routine stuff and we try to make them feel comfortable, even if the hospital can be a stressful place to be. It is just a normal hospital doing what hospitals do. We have all the usual departments and we stay open all the time because sickness doesn’t follow a schedule. It’s hard work and the days are long, but we’ve gotten used to the pace of life on Sassoon Road.
