Jehangir Hospital

Our place is located at 32 Sassoon Road. If you’ve spent any time in this part of the city, you’ve probably passed by our gates more than once. The hospital is an old fixture on Sassoon Road and we take up a decent bit of space here. Working inside, you get used to the rhythm of the place. There’s the morning rush when the shifts change and the doctors start their rounds, and then the slower pace of the evening. We have a lot of rooms and different sections for all the various medical needs people have. It’s not a quiet place, usually, because there are always people coming in for checkups or visiting relatives. We try to keep the place organized, but with so many people, it’s a constant task. The staff here is a mix of older folks who have been here forever and some younger ones just starting out. We all just try to do our part. The building has its quirks, like that one elevator that takes its time or the way the light hits the lobby in the afternoon. We don’t spend much time worrying about how things look; we just want to make sure the equipment is working and the patients are being seen to. It’s a practical environment. We’ve been at this address for a long time and we’ve become a part of the local landscape for the people living around Sassoon Road.
