Jehangir Hospital

We have been here at No. 32 Sassoon Road near Pune Station for a long time now. People usually find us easily because we are right in that busy area where everyone is rushing to catch a train or coming into the city for work. It gets quite noisy outside with the traffic and the station sounds, but inside we just try to keep things moving and help whoever walks through the doors. The building itself has seen a lot of years. Some of us have worked here for decades, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a lot more crowded these days. We deal with all sorts of medical stuff every day. Some days are just constant back-and-forth between floors, and other days are a bit more manageable. We aren't trying to be anything fancy or high-tech looking, just a place where people can get their health looked at when they aren't feeling right. Most people who come here are locals or travelers who got sick on their way through Pune. We know the corridors well, even if the floor tiles are getting a bit worn in some spots. We just focus on the patients and getting the paperwork done so things don't get too backed up. It's a job that keeps us on our feet. Sometimes the tea lady comes around and that’s the highlight of the afternoon shift. That is just how it is here at Jehangir Hospital.
