We are right at Bund Garden Road 1, which is a pretty good spot because it’s at the start of a very busy stretch of road. Java Green is a coffee shop, but it’s not one of those places where you feel like you have to dress up. We have wooden tables and some plants that we try to keep alive, though some do better than others. The espresso machine makes a lot of noise throughout the day, which blends in with the sound of the traffic outside. People come in with their laptops and sit for hours, which is fine with us as long as they don't mind the occasional smell of burnt milk when we are training someone new. The floor is a dark wood that shows every bit of dust, so we are constantly sweeping. Bund Garden Road has a lot of trees, and sometimes when the door opens, you get a nice breeze, but mostly it’s just the smell of the city. We have a small counter where we keep some sandwiches and cakes. They aren't made by a world-famous chef, just local stuff that tastes good with a hot drink. The lights are a bit low to make it feel more relaxed. It’s just a place to get some caffeine and sit for a bit before heading back out into the Pune heat and the noise of the cars and buses passing by.
