Jalil A Sheikh Consulting Structure Engineer

This is the office of Jalil A Sheikh, and we work out of Flat No 2 in Rock Appartment. We are right opposite the Aagahkhan Palace, which is a big landmark everyone knows. Being near the Shashtrinagar Crossing means it’s easy to give people directions to find us. Pune 411006 is our pin code. The apartment is on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to worry about, which is nice when we are carrying heavy site drawings or rolls of paper. It’s a homey kind of office, not one of those glass buildings. We have our drafting tables and some old chairs that are actually quite comfortable. Being an engineer involves a lot of looking at plans and checking numbers, so it’s usually pretty quiet in here. You can hear the traffic from the crossing sometimes, but the walls of Rock Appartment are thick enough to keep most of it out. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The Palace is always crowded with tourists on the weekends, but it’s a nice view when we step outside for a bit of air. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. Usually, you just knock on the door and one of us will let you in. It’s a simple way of doing business, and it works for us. We just keep our heads down and do the engineering work that is required for the different projects we have.
