My office is located at 43 Shaniwar Peth, inside Nav Maharashtra House. I am situated directly opposite Shaniwar Wada, so I have a pretty great view of the old fort right from the building. Because it’s such a famous landmark, the area is always full of people, from tourists to local vendors. Nav Maharashtra House is an older building with a lot of history, and I’ve been here for a good amount of time. My workspace is very basic and focused on the job. I have my desk, my files, and some chairs for people who come to see me. It is a very busy part of the city, and the sounds of the street are constant, but I have gotten used to it over the years. I handle various administrative and professional duties during the day. Most of my morning is spent answering messages and organizing documents. It is a one-person operation for the most part, so I manage everything myself. I like being in Shaniwar Peth because it is so central and I can walk to almost anywhere I need to go. If I need to grab a bite to eat or get some supplies, everything is right there. My work isn't flashy or particularly exciting, but it is consistent and keeps me busy. I don't see the need for a lot of bells and whistles. I just come in, sit down at my desk, and do the work that needs to be done.
