You can find us in Vadgoensheri, along the Sion Trombay Road in Chembur East, at number 47. It is a spot that gets a lot of traffic passing by, so there is always a layer of dust on the front window. Inside, it is all steel. We have stacks of plates, pipes, and various household items made of metal. The sound in here is quite something because everything echoes off the hard surfaces. If someone drops a lid, the whole shop knows about it. We have been in Chembur East for a while, and the area has its own rhythm. Usually, the mornings are for unloading the new stock that comes in on the lorries. It is heavy work, and we all have to lend a hand to move things into the racks. We don't have a big showroom with bright lights. It is more of a practical space where people come to get what they need for their kitchens or their small building projects. We use a lot of chalk to mark prices or measurements on the metal itself. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several customers are asking for different sizes at once, but we eventually get through the pile. The Sion Trombay Road is always noisy, but once you step inside and hear the familiar sound of steel moving, it feels like home. We just keep the inventory moving and try to stay organized. It is hard work, but it pays the bills.
