J T Karachiwala is situated right in the Sai Nandanvan Complex. If you know where Sundrabai Maratha High School is, we are basically right there on Wellington Street in Vadgoensheri. It’s a lively part of the area, especially when school lets out and the kids are everywhere. Our space is unit number 6. We’ve been here for a while now, and most people in the building know us. It’s not a very big place, just enough room for the essentials and a couple of chairs for visitors. We handle a variety of local business needs. There’s always something going on, whether it’s deliveries coming in or people dropping by to ask questions. The street outside can get quite narrow with all the parked scooters, so finding a spot can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. Inside, it’s mostly just us working through the daily tasks. We aren't big on decorations, so the walls are mostly plain except for a calendar and some notes we’ve taped up. It feels like a proper local workspace. We’ve got a routine that works for us, starting early in the morning before it gets too hot. Most of our day is spent dealing with the practical side of things. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. Just a local business on Wellington Street trying to keep things moving along for the community. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which makes the days go by faster.
