Ismt Ltd. has its office at Eden Park in the C-Wing, just off the Pune-Nagar Road in Viman Nagar. Being right there near the main road means there is always a lot of noise from the traffic outside, but inside we are usually focused on the steel business. We deal with seamless tubes and different types of steel products that go into some pretty heavy-duty engineering projects. The office isn’t anything too special, just rows of desks, some computers, and a lot of filing cabinets stuffed with technical drawings and invoices. We spend a good chunk of our day coordinating between the plants where the steel is actually made and the people who need it for their projects. It involves a lot of checking numbers and making sure the schedules align. Viman Nagar is a busy area, so lunch breaks are usually quick trips to the local spots nearby. We don't really go in for fancy talk or big corporate slogans. We just try to make sure that when someone asks for a specific grade of steel, we know exactly where it is and when it can be delivered. The phones ring quite a bit, and there’s always someone coming in with a query about a shipment. It’s steady work that keeps everyone on their toes throughout the week. We just keep our heads down and manage the flow of the steel orders as best we can.
