Ishka Farms

Down on 7th Main 80 Feet Road in Hadapsar, that is where we do our thing every day. Ishka Farms is the name on the front gate, but it’s really just a lot of hard work out in the dirt and sun. The address is 165/2/1A, right where the road gets a bit quieter as you move along. We spend a whole lot of our time thinking about the weather and the soil. It is a bit of a trek for some people to come out this way, but we have been here long enough that most people know the route. Farming isn't as easy as some people think it is. There is always something breaking or a crop that isn't doing what it should. We wake up early, usually when it’s still dark outside, to get a head start before the heat gets too bad. The 80 Feet Road has changed a lot over the years, getting busier and louder, but the farm stays mostly the same. We grow what we can and deal with the seasons as they come. Some years are definitely better than others. That is just the way it goes when you work with nature. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a few of us making sure everything stays green and healthy. We don't have a fancy office. Most of our meetings happen standing up in a field or sitting on the back of a truck. It’s a plain life.
