Infosys (On Contract .)

Working out of Sadashiv Peth is a bit different than being at a massive IT park. Our spot is in Siddharth Darshan on Kumthekar Road. It’s a busy part of Pune, very traditional with all the old shops and the smell of local food everywhere. We handle contract work for Infosys here. It means we have our own small team and we just get on with the tasks assigned to us each week. The building at 645/46 isn't a glass skyscraper, but it’s easy to find once you know where Kumthekar Road is. Most of us take the bus or ride a bike through the narrow lanes to get here. It’s crowded, especially in the afternoons, but that’s just how Pune is. We don't have a big cafeteria or anything, so we usually just head out to the local stalls for tea or a quick bite. The work involves a lot of coding and checking data, basically whatever the main office needs us to cover. It’s steady work and keeps us busy from Monday to Friday. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, but mostly it’s a regular routine. We like being in this part of town because it feels more real than the gated tech areas. It’s just a group of us sitting at desks, making sure the contracts stay on track and the bugs get fixed before the day ends.
