At Industrial Metal Powders (India) Pvt Ltd, things are always a bit dusty because of what we make. Metal powder gets into every crack and corner of the building. It’s a large facility, but it doesn't feel like those big corporate offices you see in the movies. It’s a real working plant. We have big bags of material stacked up to the ceiling in some places. The workers are usually wearing masks and heavy gloves to stay safe. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, especially back by the processing units. I’ve spent many hours walking the floor here. The location in the Shirur industrial area is good for logistics, even if the roads are a bit bumpy. We have trucks coming in from all over to pick up the powders. It’s a lot of logistics and heavy lifting. We don't spend time on fancy speeches or mission statements. We just make sure the powders are processed correctly and shipped out on time. Sometimes we eat lunch together in the small break area behind the main floor. It’s a tough job but there’s a sense of pride in seeing those big bags loaded onto the trucks. We’ve been part of this industrial zone for a long time now.
