Indiana Gratings

You can find us at Plot No D-5 in the MIDC area of Jejuri. It’s out in Tal Purandhar. Being in an industrial zone means we are surrounded by other factories and workshops. We specialize in gratings. These are the metal floorings or covers you see in industrial plants or on walkways. It’s heavy work. We have to cut and weld the steel bars into grids. The workshop is big and open to keep it from getting too hot, but it still gets stuffy. We use a lot of raw steel and the floor is usually covered in scraps. We have a small crew that knows how to handle the machines. It is not a very quiet place to work. There is always the sound of saws or welding arcs. We get orders from all over, mostly for construction or industrial projects. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. We just do the work and ship it out. Sometimes we have to stay late to meet a deadline. The commute out to Jejuri is a bit long for some of us, but it’s where the space is. We’ve got a little office in the corner for the accounts, but we spend most of our time on the shop floor. It's a plain, no-nonsense kind of business. We just make the gratings as they are ordered. If there's a big truck loading up, the yard gets very crowded. We just keep our heads down and get the work done.
