Bhawani Peth is always crowded, and that’s where you’ll find us at 718/3. It is an old area with lots of history and narrow lanes that stay busy until late at night. I took over this shop a while back. It’s a small space, barely enough room for two people to stand inside comfortably. We have those old glass jars on the shelves that have been there forever. Some of them have chips on the edges, but they hold everything we need just fine. The light inside is a bit dim, but I know where everything is even if the bulb flickers. Customers stop by while they’re out doing their shopping or on their way to work. It’s mostly just quick interactions. Someone asks for something, I put it together, and they move on. Sometimes a neighbor stops by to complain about the heat or the rain. I listen and keep working. There’s a lot of dust from the road, so I’m always wiping down the counter with an old rag. It’s just the way it is in this part of town. I don’t think about it much. It’s a steady routine. I close up when the street finally gets quiet, which isn't until very late. Then I do it all again the next morning. It’s not fancy, but it works for me and the people who live nearby in this neighborhood.
