India Green

The shop is right here at House No 1029 on Babula Tank Road in Budhwar Peth. It’s a busy spot and we’ve been around for a while now. India Green started because we wanted to have something of our own in this neighborhood. Most days involve just keeping things organized and talking to the people who walk past the door. The traffic near the tank can get pretty loud in the afternoons, but you get used to it after a few years. We keep a variety of things on the shelves, trying to make sure the stock stays fresh and looks okay. It’s not a fancy place with bright lights or anything like that. Just a regular room filled with what we sell. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and we have to move things away from the entrance. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t have a big corporate office or a website team. If someone needs something, they just come in and ask. We try to keep the floors swept, though dust from the road always finds a way in. Budhwar Peth has changed a lot, but this house number stays the same. We just keep doing our thing day by day, making sure the local regulars get what they need without any fuss. It's a simple life here near the tank road and we like it that way.
