Ikara General Stores

Ikara General Stores is located right in the middle of Kondhwa Khurd. It’s a busy part of the city, and our shop is tucked into one of the streets there. We sell a bit of everything, really. If you need household items, some toiletries, or just something to eat, we probably have it on one of our shelves. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to fit as much stock as we can into the space we have. I’ve been working here for a while now, and the routine is pretty much the same every day. We open up, tidy the place a bit, and then wait for the neighbors to stop by. In Kondhwa Khurd, people are always on the move, so we get a lot of people just popping in for one or two things. We don’t bother with fancy displays or anything like that. The stuff is there, you see it, and you buy it. Sometimes I have to search around in the back for a specific item someone wants, but usually, everything is right where it belongs. It’s a local business, run by people who live nearby. We know which milk the regulars like and who prefers which brand of tea. It’s not a big corporate chain, just a regular shop where you get treated like a person instead of just another customer. It gets loud outside with the traffic, but inside it’s just us doing our work and helping the local community get their supplies.
