We are based in Pune, Maharashtra, at Tpo Tower C on the 1st Floor. Specifically, I’m at Seat No 119. The building is off Airport Road in the Yerwada area, 411006. Being near the airport means it’s a busy part of the city. Tower C is part of a larger complex where many different companies operate. My particular spot for Ibm India Pvt Ltd is just a standard desk in a long row of others. It’s a very typical office environment with grey carpets and bright overhead lights. The air conditioning is always humming, and sometimes it gets a bit chilly if you sit right under a vent. Yerwada has a lot of traffic, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a struggle. Once we’re inside, though, it’s all about the tasks on the screen. The cafeteria in the building is where we mostly go for a quick break or lunch. The food is okay, nothing to write home about. Sometimes the elevators take forever, so you see people standing around checking their watches or their phones. We have a small locker for our personal belongings. It feels a bit like being back in school sometimes. But it’s where we do our work and it serves its purpose. We just log in, go through the daily queue of work, and try to stay productive until it’s time to go.
