Hotel Samadhan

Hotel Samadhan is right on Laxmi Road in Budhwar Peth. If you know Pune, you know how busy this street gets. We are literally next to the Dagdusheth Temple, so there is never a quiet moment around here. From early morning, you hear the temple bells and the people chanting. It’s a small place on Survey No 850. We get a lot of devotees who travel from far away just to visit the Ganpati temple. They usually stay for a night or just a few hours to freshen up. The building has been here for a while and shows its age in places, but we do our best with what we have. Laxmi Road is full of shops, so it’s great if you want to buy clothes or jewelry, but the traffic is a nightmare sometimes. We tell people not to expect a quiet retreat here because the city is right at the door. The rooms are simple, just a bed and a fan mostly. Sometimes the narrow lanes of Budhwar Peth get confusing for newcomers, but once you find the temple, we are right there. It’s a family-run kind of setup. We don't have a big fancy reception area. Usually, one of us is sitting at the desk near the entrance. It’s a place for people who want to be in the heart of old Pune and don't mind the crowd.
