Hotel Sai Saras

Sadashiv Peth is one of those old parts of Pune where the lanes are narrow and there is a lot of history. We are located on Saras Bagh Road, right behind the Sanas sports ground. It's a busy spot, especially when there is a match or an event at the ground. You can hear the whistles and the cheering from our doorway. Our building is simple, tucked into the 411030 zip code area. We get a lot of students and locals who live in the Peth area. Parking is always a bit of a headache around here, so most people just walk or come on their two-wheelers. The atmosphere is very typical of Pune, with people rushing to work or heading toward Saras Baug for a walk. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but the sports ground stays the same. The street is usually crowded during the Ganesh festival. We mostly just focus on our daily routine, opening the shutters in the morning and getting things ready. It’s a modest place. No one here wears a uniform or anything like that. We just talk to the customers like neighbors because most of them are. Being behind Sanas ground means we get a bit of shade in the afternoons which is helpful. It's just a regular hotel in a very traditional part of the city. We do our work and go home like everyone else on this busy street.
